Full colour print titled “Steam at Ryde Pier” in lower left corner. Saving the best ‘til last, this picture just about has it all, and most likely dates from around the 1950s. Pavillion / ballroom / café / restaurant / roller rink / pub on the left, steam train coming down the pier, and a paddle steamer (most likely the Ryde or Sandown) approaching the pier head itself.
